Illuminate the Night 2025: A Winter Solstice Celebration with Shine Song Collective and Friends

Illuminate the Night 2025: A Winter Solstice Celebration with Shine Song Collective and Friends
December 20, 2025 | Canyon Wren Recital Hall | Icicle Creek Center for the Arts
On the longest night of the year, the community is invited to gather for Illuminate the Night 2025: A Winter Solstice Celebration of song, movement, and connection featuring Shine Song Collective and friends.
Now in its fourth year, Illuminate the Night has become a cherished solstice tradition in the Leavenworth area. This year’s gathering expands into a full-evening experience that is part concert, part ceremony, part dance journey featuring Shine Song Collective, alongside performances by Benjamin Jay Thomas, Nora B. Heath, A Hundred Miles, Hernan Savastano, Targol, and others. The evening will also include ecstatic dance guided by DJ Klarity, leading participants into embodied celebration before closing in gentle song as the solstice night unfolds.
“Each year, this gathering takes on a new life of its own,” says Benjamin Jay Thomas, a member of Shine Song Collective and founder of Bring Forth. “It’s about honoring the darkness and the quiet, but also celebrating the spark of light that emerges from within and among us. Especially now, practices like song and dance are super vital… they connect us to one another, bring us back to our bodies, and help us remember who we truly are.”

Dear Friends,
As 2025 comes to a close, I want to take a moment to speak directly to you. If you have listened to the music, shared a song, attended a gathering, or followed this work from afar, you are already part of the story. Bring Forth exists because people like you believe that creativity is not a luxury. It is one of the ways human beings stay awake to their own souls.
When we launched this summer, we named our mission with clarity: Bring Forth cultivates and amplifies human-made, heart-centered creativity as a pathway to healing, emotional well-being, and cultural renewal. In a world marked by rapid technological change, rising disconnection, and a cultural hunger for meaning, heart-centered creativity is becoming more essential, not less. It is one of the practices that keeps us human.
